2. Don’t shut your furnace off
Don’t turn your heating system completely off once you have started using it for the cold weather season. Lowering the temperature when the weather permits is fine, but when the frigid temperatures return, you don’t want to have to wait for your heating system to warm your entire house again to be comfortable and stay warm. 3. Your furnace is the wrong size

4. Your system’s blower fan is malfunctioning
If the airflow from your heating system into your home isn’t as strong as it should be, then your home will not feel warm when the cold weather sets in.
