Today I had New Albany Heating & Cooling out for our spring checkup as part of our maintenance contract. Everything went well and Jason was wonderful to work with. He was clean and neat and courteous. He put coverings on his shoes when he was in the house. They have been servicing our furnace and air conditioning for several years and are always professional and punctual. They make good recommendations to make our system work better and are reasonably priced. They don't oversell. Just the right amount to make our system work well. We highly recommend New Albany Heating & Cooling. They do a great job.
They spent an hour reviewing my A/C, gave me a detailed report. Very impressed.

Upon arrival for service call on 1996 Conquest furnace, I electronically tested for leak bubble checked and did the old fashion lighter trick. Unable to pick up any hits of gas. I secured intake and did a combustion check on system. I also noticed system had some issues lighting up the first time may have been from prolong period of gas being off. I cleaned flame sensor just to ensure that wasn’t an issue. I believe with all checks system is okay to run currently based off of all tests. System operating as intended upon departure.

Upon arrival for callback on 2021 Carrier furnace, found system off and all other items on circuit not operating either. I tested switch and it was testing bad. I removed switch and everything started to work. I believe unit switch was bad. Home has multiple electrical issues with furnace not being on dedicated circuit and informed customer he will have to get this addressed with an electrician or risk future issues and damage to the new unit.

Upon arrival for tune up safety check on 2020 Carrier furnace, I went through furnace tune up list, everything checked out normally per routine maintenance. System is working within manufacturers specifications. System heating properly upon departure.

Upon arrival for tune up safety check on 2002 Carrier furnace, began routine maintenance tuneup list, customer said there was a funny smell coming from exhaust pipe after drilling hole to run combustion analysis the smell of sweet corn is my best way to explain it was almost gagging. Initiated combustion analysis watched P PMs go from zero to over 1000 immediately turned off unit. Called supervisor confirmed that secondary heat exchanger is cracked will recommend new furnace to customer. Furnace not operating upon departure.

Upon arrival for service call on 2016 Concord heat pump, found air handler and heat strips were operational and the condenser was not. After further diagnostic, discovered that the system is in high pressure lockout. Checked air filter and and it was dirty/clogged. Replaced filter with customer provided filter. Checked refrigerant pressures on system and found system extremely over charged. Removed some refrigerant from system. System continued to operate as intended after adjustments. System operational at departure.

I found the humidifier had been wired wrong when it was installed and was actually causing the furnace to turn on when it called for humidity. I was able to rewire the humidifier and cycled the system multiple times to ensure it was working properly. System is operational at departure.

I completed a diagnostic on a Lennox gas furnace. Upon arrival furnace was operational. Client was concerned that there was a vibration noise coming from the furnace. Determined that noise is coming from the bottom of the return drop where foil tape has ripped about. I taped the bottom of the return and reinforced it with 2 layers of tape. This eliminated the noise. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
