The technician that came to our house was awesome, and fixed the problem without any hesitation.
I completed a fall tune up on a Carrier gas furnace. I visually inspected the unit. I cleared the condensate drain and cleaned the flame sensor. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored system. Operating normally at this time.
Upon arrival furnace was not operational, showing led code 3, pressure switch stuck open, Tested inducer motor and it is pulling 0.95inwc and pressure switch is rated to close at 0.60inwc enough to close switch, Bypassed switch and system kicked on operational normal, Also the door switch on furnace is broken, customer wanted switch bypassed and does not want to replace door switch at this time, Needs a new pressure switch, Furnace not operational at departure.
Upon arrival the 2002 American standard Furnace was off at thermostat, Turned to heat, furnace kicked on and went through cycle, Tested flame sensor and getting 2.6ua it’s good within range, Inducer motor is pulling 1.3amps within range, Blower motor is pulling 5.7amps within range, Temp rise at 52 degrees within range, Filter is clean, Furnace continued to operate for about 25min with no faults/errors, Made customer aware that the service charge is good for 30 days and to give us a call if it starts acting up, Furnace operational at departure.
I am Performing our Five Star Tune-Up & Safety Check on a 2010 Carrier Gas Furnace. All readings were within manufacturer's specifications, unit operating properly at this time.
