On time and corrected problem
Upon arrival for tune up safety check on 2019 Carrier furnace, I went through furnace tune up list, everything checked out normally per routine maintenance. System is working within manufacturers specifications. System heating properly upon departure.
Upon arrival for tune up safety check on 2020 Carrier furnace, during combustion test uCO level got too high. I lowered gas pressure from 3.5 to 3.2 let run and still at high levels. Moved gas pressure to 3 ppm got down then started climbing. After about 3 mins got down lower then started climbing back up. uCO levels are all over the place. I verified flew and inducer wheel. All clear. Call back install tech is supporting with issue. He confirmed that the system is burning dirty.
I replaced an out of warranty high limit switch on a 2006 Maytag furnace, checked evap coil to make sure it wasn’t dirty/clogged, and cycled system in heat. I noticed gas valve igniter and flame sensor was recently replaced before us. Kicked on operational normal, and then about 7min it kicked off. I then checked for low voltage at board and had lost call for heat from stat, then shortly after call for heat was back and furnace went through heat cycle. Replacing t-stat at no charge per supervisor. Cycled system in heat again it Continued to operate as intended for about 30 minutes without showing any fault or errors. Operational at departure.
Upon arrival for callback on 2020 Five Star furnace, I looked over install, everything is in good working order and done properly. Customer had concerns of air escaping near furnace from supply. I patched holes with silicone. System in good operating order upon departure.
Upon arrival for tune up safety check on 2020 Carrier furnace, found everything to be within manufacturer's specifications. I did pull and clean the flame sensor and changed the filter with customer provided filter. Unit operational at time of departure.
Upon arrival for a callback on 2021 Five Star furnace, I looked over system and found vibration coming from filter door as well as duct working popping on cool down and startup of fan motor. I removed filter door and vibration is now gone. System still generating popping noise from ductwork but explained to customer everything operating as intended.
